What could be better than a Cafe next to a park?
A cafe that helps give back to the community. Cafe on the Park in Bayswater is a social enterprise, which helps to support the community with meals, employment and training pathways amongst other things. Not only does Mamma get to enjoy her coffee, but she gets to feel good about it too.
Cafe on the Park sits right next to Glen Park Playground and is perfect to grab some take away and sit at the park. We usually have a play at the park then head to the cafe afterwards.
Whilst there is indoor seating and a cute little courtyard, Mamma and her kids prefer to sit outside under the shaded picnic tables. Maroondah council has also provided the space with a temporary pop up space of tables and chairs. All of this area is next to the oval and a footy kick away from the playground.
There is plenty of room for the little ones to run around while they wait for their food.
The staff here are so lovely and the cafe prides itself on creating a safe and inclusive environment for all in the community.
The menu offers breakfast, lunch and Mamma’s favourite - jaffles! The lunch menu has a few options at half serve which is great for the bigger kids who no longer want to eat from the kids menu. Mamma’s little ones love the ploughmans lunch for lots of variety.
